So has anyone ever programmed anything in iOS? Sorry I don't know the language, but I am interested in programming in whatever iOS uses. So, what apps work well and any pointers to good tutorials?

No, have never ventured into programming with IOS, but if you are successful, let me know. First, you need to sign up for a Developer's account with Apple, wich costs $99.00 per year, before you can even download the necessary SDK and associated files. Secondly, you have to have a Mac. Third, VoicOver has to be compatible with X-Code, and that's about al I know.

Why the hell should I have to pay Apple to make apps? That's bullshit, bullshit I say. Lol, ninety-nine dollars is a bit much to get an SDK, so I'll not bother.

You could try Android, however. Have never tried, so do not know how accessible the actual software is.

You don't need to pay to get the SDK, at least I didnt' think you did. XCode has it from what i've been able to see.

I assume the syntax is much like c?

My understanding is you can create an iOS app with out paying $99 and test it out on an iOS simulator. Unfortionately the simulator does not support voiceover so you would need to pay $99 per year so you could test the apps out on an actual device. I have done some Android programming. It is quite accessible and you don't ahve to pay anything to run an app on your device. YOu do have to pay $25 the first time you want to publish an app to the Google Play store but you can do development and testing on any devices you own before paying the $25.

Yes, the Xcode software has the SDK for free. Sadly you do need to pay to test your apps on a device, or publish to the iTunes store.
